WALSH JESUIT FALLS TO HOBAN IN FRONT 5,000 FANS 
Walsh Jesuit 0-10 four years ago has seen a resurgence under Nick Alexander, the Warriors come into this week's matchup with a record of 4-2. Coming off a 32-20 loss to state-ranked Akron Hoban in front of a home crowd of nearly 5,000. Senior quarterback Ryan Kerscher had 257 yards passing on 23 completions, he has over 1,100 yards passing on the season. Trey Bell is a player to watch as he is considered one of the top receivers in the area.  

NDCL GETS BACK ON THE WINNING TRACK 
The Lions got back on the winning track behind 302 yards rushing from senior Burke Buell and sophomore Ryan Lipowski. Buell led the way with 203 yards and three touchdowns against the Potters. Lipowski from under center chipped in three touchdowns. Buell was named the News-Herald Player of the Week from his performance, on the season he has 773 yards on 116 carries and eight touchdowns. Senior Matt Urda now has four sacks and eight tackles for loss. 

NEXT WEEK: PADUA 
The Lions get back on the road for the first time in four weeks as they travel to Parma to take on Padua in a Crown Conference matchup. Padua is currently 2-4 on the season and coming off a win against Lake Catholic, 21-9. The Bruins take on Maple Heights this week. Padua edged the Lions last season in a close game, 16-14.
