Mission Statement
The purpose of the NDCL Sports Performance program is to guide student-athletes toward reaching their highest athletic potential. This will be accomplished by providing an inclusive, organized, and safe environment for all student-athletes to learn the aspects of training and pursue improvement within them. Those who consistently are willing to learn and give effort will benefit the most from this program. We will meet all levels of athletes where they are with the intent of improving upon their given abilities. Through training, the program will develop student-athletes who are injury-resilient, better prepared to handle the demands of their sport, and have refined movement mechanics. Through discussion and education, student-athletes will develop an understanding of physical preparation, recovery methods, and performance-based nutrition.
Training Philosophy
NDCL Sports Performance will use movement-based training to achieve desired performance adaptations. Teaching student-athletes to move with proper mechanics, through entire ranges of motion, and in multiple planes will be prioritized. Through these methods, we will expect improvements in the ability to express strength, speed, and power on the field of play, which will be proven not only by performance, but by data collected throughout training. Technology and science-based practices will be used in all facets of training to enhance the experience. We will continually self-evaluate all methods to ensure we remain at the forefront of advances in training practices. Along with improvement in athletic ability, our training will result in student-athletes who learn the values of consistency, diligence, and community.
