Meet Dr. Jason Ina: Supporting NDCL Student-Athletes On and Off the Field

Through its ongoing partnership with University Hospitals, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Athletics is proud to recognize Dr. Jason Ina, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who joined NDCL as a team physician at the beginning of the 2026 fall athletic season.

Dr. Ina, who practices with the UH Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute and UH Rainbow Babies & Children's, has been a presence on the sidelines at NDCL home football games this fall, providing medical support as part of the school's sports medicine team.

His involvement extends beyond Friday nights. Dr. Ina is also available to evaluate and treat NDCL student-athletes with orthopedic and sports-related injuries, serving as a referral resource for the school's athletic training staff and families.

Dr. Ina completed his orthopedic surgery residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center before pursuing advanced sports medicine fellowship training at Mayo Clinic and Boston Children's Hospital.

His specialized training in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine provides NDCL student-athletes access to experienced medical care focused on the unique needs of young athletes.

The partnership between NDCL Athletics and University Hospitals reflects a shared commitment to student-athlete health, safety, and well-being. From injury prevention and evaluation to treatment and recovery, having access to qualified sports medicine professionals is an important part of the overall athletic experience.

At NDCL, developing student-athletes means supporting their growth and well-being both on and off the field. Dr. Ina's involvement strengthens that commitment while providing an additional resource for NDCL families.

NDCL Athletics is grateful for Dr. Ina's continued presence and for the partnership with University Hospitals in supporting the health and well-being of our Lions.
