The wait for Friday night is almost over.
Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin football opens the 2026 season Friday, Aug. 21, when the Lions travel to Struthers for a 7 p.m. kickoff at J. Fedor Field.
Friday marks the second consecutive season NDCL and Struthers will meet in Week 1, with this year's matchup shifting to the Wildcats' home field.
The Lions opened last season with a 50-8 victory over Struthers at NDCL before going on to finish 8-4 and advance to the second round of the OHSAA playoffs. Friday brings a clean slate as NDCL begins a new season on the road.

PARKING
Visiting fans should park in the main parking lot at Struthers High School.
The main lot is located on the school side of the stadium near Euclid Avenue. Struthers' gameday map identifies this as the designated parking area for away fans and officials.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow enough time to park and enter the stadium before kickoff.
VISITOR ENTRANCE
NDCL fans should enter through the Away Gate on the school side of the stadium.
The home gate is located separately on Garfield Street.
Gates open at 6 p.m., one hour before kickoff.
VISITOR SEATING
NDCL fans are asked to sit in the visitor stands on the school side of the stadium.
The far-left section of the visitor stands is reserved for the NDCL band.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available Friday night.
One concession stand is conveniently located behind the visitor stands on the school side, with another available near the home-side gates.

SERIES HISTORY
Friday will be the third recorded meeting between NDCL and Struthers.
The Lions are 2-0 in the series, earning a 29-21 road victory in 2014 before the programs met again last season at NDCL.
