Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin boys soccer erased a halftime deficit with three unanswered goals in the second half to earn a 3-1 road victory over Elyria Catholic on Tuesday.
The Lions entered halftime trailing 1-0 and needing a response. They found it with goals from three different players after the break.
Ante Susnjara scored his first goal of the season to help turn the momentum in NDCL's favor. David Lann added his second goal of the year, and Jason Rossi found the back of the net for the first time this season to complete the Lions' three-goal second half.
Nico Amoroso and Eli Lauric contributed assists in the comeback.
The victory continued Lann's early-season production after he scored the first goal of his varsity career against Mayfield on Aug. 27.
More importantly, Tuesday's performance showed NDCL's ability to respond after facing adversity on the road. Rather than allowing the first-half deficit to dictate the match, the Lions produced three goals over the final 40 minutes to leave Elyria with the victory.
NDCL returns to the road Thursday to face Cardinal Mooney.
