Ross Martin

A social studies teacher at NDCL, Martin has served as the assistant coach for both girls and boys track and field teams for the past three seasons, coaching Hurdles and distance, including the 4x800 boys state qualifying relay team. In addition, Martin has served as an assistant cross country coach since 2018, helping three of his squads qualify for the OHSAA state meet. 

Martin’s coaching has not been limited to just the athletic side of the students' experience. Since 2019, he has been an advisor to NDCL’s Mock Trial Teams and helped coach two state-qualifying Mock Trial teams. 

Martin, a long distance specialist, ran collegiately at John Carroll University where he was a two-time co-captain of the cross country team as well as an All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer in true 10k in 2018. In addition, Martin earned Academic all-OAC honors for three consecutive years (2016-18):

Martin, who earned his degree from JCU in History and Secondary education in 2018, is a native of Bethel Park, PA. He currently resides in Shaker Heights.
