Athletic Director Jim Clark Announces Decision to Leave NDCL

Athletic Director and Varsity Baseball Coach Mr. Jim Clark announced today that he will be leaving NDCL at the end of September to pursue other professional opportunities that will allow him to devote more time to his family.

Clark, who has been NDCL's AD since 2017, has served the Lions' athletic program since 1994, when he was hired as head baseball coach and associate athletic director.

His baseball teams won two state championships, 13 district titles, and 11 conference championships. He was named Coach of the Year five times by The Plain Dealer and seven times by the News-Herald.

"Jim Clark has guided thousands of NDCL's student-athletes and coaches in their pursuit of athletic excellence," commented NDCL Principal Mr. Joseph A. Waler. "He has always been a class act who has led with integrity, professionalism, and faith-filled devotion to our educational mission."

"It has been an honor and a privilege to serve and impact Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School as an athletic administrator and head baseball coach," Mr. Clark said. "The NDCL community will always hold a special place in my heart."

Mr. Waler expects to name NDCL's next AD before Mr. Clark's departure. This timeline will ensure a seamless leadership transition for the Lions' vibrant and successful athletic program, which includes 50 teams in 28 interscholastic sports. The new AD will lead the search for NDCL's next varsity head baseball coach.
