KENSTON DROPS HIGH SCORING AFFAIR TO PERRY
Kenston moved to 1-1 on the season with a road loss to Perry, 60-32. The Bombers were led by junior running back Sean Patrick, he finished the game with five rushing touchdowns. Patrick burst onto the scene in 2021 with over a 1,000 rushing yards, he has offers from Iowa State, Boston College, Akron, and Toledo according to the News-Herald.
NDCL FALLS ON THE ROAD TO OLENTANGY
NDCL dropped an overtime heartbreaker in front of a large crowd last week at Olentangy, 34-28. The Lions were led by sophomore Ryan Lipowski with 222 passing yards and three total touchdowns. Senior running back Burke Buell went over 300 yards for the season including a 59-yard touchdown run to open the third quarter. Junior Griffin Moskal had two tackles-for-loss to lead the Lions defense, along with six tackles from senior Matt Urda.
NEXT WEEK: GILMOUR
The Lions will host Gilmour in the 2022 home opener. The Lion faithful will step into Lion Stadium for the first time to the new amenities. The stadium was officially rededicated on August 24th. The Lancers are currently 2-0 on the season with wins over Rhodes and Warrensville Heights. They welcomed new head coach Tommy Zagorski to the sideline. NDCL defeated Gilmour last season, 26-12, the Lancers finished the season with a 7-3 record.Â
