Bryce Wheatley continues to etch his name into the history books as he became the first wrestler in school history to reach the 150-career win milestone, be a District Champion, and qualify for State three years in a row.
Wheatley's first win at Districts on Friday, March 1st was his career 150th, sending him to the District Semifinals on Saturday. He went a perfect 4-0 in the District Tournament, making him the District Champion at 215 and will head to the State Tournament as the fourth seed.
The senior will wrestle for a OHSAA DII State Championship on Friday and Saturday, March 8th and 9th at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. He will look to become the first wrestler in NDCL history to be a state titlist and college scholarship recipient (Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL).
Good luck this weekend, Bryce and congratulations on 150-career wins and a District Championship!
