Senior Alexis Urigel closed an impactful four-year career with Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin girls golf Tuesday, representing the Lions at the Division I District Tournament at Tanglewood Golf Club.
Urigel carded an 86 (+14) over 18 holes to finish 23rd. She came up short of advancing to the state championship but completed her second consecutive season with an individual appearance at the district tournament.
Her final round was fitting of the qualities she displayed throughout her NDCL career. Urigel continued competing through the challenges of the district tournament and finished the round representing a program she helped shape over four seasons.
"Extremely proud of Alexis's effort and resiliency throughout the round," coach Tiger Alexander said. "Alexis has made a tremendous impact over the past four years. Alexis has been a big influence each year not only on the course but also as a member of the golf program."
Urigel qualified for the district tournament after shooting a 78 at the sectional tournament, where she tied for ninth overall.
Her impact extended well beyond her individual postseason appearances. Urigel was a key contributor to NDCL's 2025 conference championship and played an important role in the program's success throughout her four seasons.
Tuesday marked the conclusion of Urigel's high school golf career and the 2026 season for the Lions, who finished 7-1 in match play this fall.
