Five student-athletes from the Blue Division champion NDCL Ice Hockey team earned All-League honors from the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League (GCHSHL). Head Coach Keith Abood received the GCHSHL Blue Division Coach of the Year award.
Sophomore Nic Davis and senior Colin Krajnak earned first team all-conference recognition. Davis led the team this season in all three statistical categories: goals (27), assists (16), and points (43). Krajnak followed with 20 goals, 13 assists, and a total of 33 points.
Sophomore Joshua Hollobaugh and senior Klara Stergar received second team all-league honors. Hollobaugh logged 13 goals, 15 assists, and 28 total points. Stergar, one of the Lions' defensive specialists, tallied 10 assists this season.
Nate McClellan collected third team all-league honors. The junior goalie allowed only 41 goals on 273 opponent shots this season for an impressive save percentage of 87.
Head Coach Keith Abood was recognized as the Blue Division's Coach of the Year. The Lions put together nothing short of a historic season under Abood's leadership. The team finished the 2025-26 season 12-0 in conference play to win the Blue Division title outright for the first time in school history. In addition, the Lions qualified for the Baron Cup tournament for the first time in ten years. The team defeated CVCA in a thrilling overtime win in the first round before their second-round exit to the one-seed Westlake Demons.
Overall, Coach Abood guided the Ice Hockey team to a 14-3-1 regular season record.
NDCL Ice Hockey awaits first-round opponent from the OHSAA state tournament draw that will be completed on Sunday.
