Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin boys soccer broke through for its first victory of the season Thursday, earning a 1-0 road win at Crestwood.
Dario Musa provided the difference for the Lions, finding the back of the net off an assist from sophomore Eli Lauric.
With one goal proving enough, NDCL protected its advantage to secure the shutout and its first win of the 2026 campaign.
Lauric's assist continued a productive start to his sophomore season. He has recorded an assist in each of NDCL's first two matches, including setting up Brendan Rand for the Lions' goal against Bay in the season opener.
Thursday's result provided a positive response following a 2-1 loss to Bay in the opener. In that match, NDCL battled back from an early deficit to tie the score before conceding the deciding goal with three minutes remaining.
This time, the Lions made their advantage stand, combining Musa's finish with a clean sheet to bring their first victory of the season home from Crestwood.
NDCL returns home for its next match against Mayfield.
