The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin girls golf team continued its strong start to the 2026 season Wednesday, defeating CVCA, 161-196, at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow.
The Lions combined steady play throughout the lineup with two standout performances to earn the road victory over a competitive Royals squad.
Senior Alexis Urigel turned in the round of the day, carding a 1-under-par 34 for her first under-par high school round and a personal best over nine holes. Sophomore Lillian Kasper followed with a personal-best 38 (+3), giving NDCL a pair of career performances at the top of the lineup.
Claire Ribic added a 40, while Hadleigh Hazen contributed a 49 and Juliette Racic finished with a 50 to complete the Lions' team score of 161.
The performance showcased both the team's depth and composure as players managed the challenges of Fox Den under demanding conditions.
"I'm extremely proud of how the ladies navigated the course, pace of play and humidity," said Coach Alexander following the match.
With consecutive victories to open the season, NDCL carries momentum into its next event, the Lady Bulldog Tournament on Monday, Aug. 10, at Fox Den Golf Course.
