Four School Records Fall in NEOITC Opener

The Boys and Girls Indoor Track team opened the NEOITC series last night at Spire. The team established 21 personal bests and four school records per head coach Ralph White.  The boys' team broke records in the 60 meter dash and the 4 x 800 meter relay. Senior Danny Yanick became the fastest boy in school history with his record race in the 60 meters (7.37), while the team of Anthony Ciecierski, Peter Bates, Brian Bates, and Finn Matheney took over 8 seconds off of the 4 x 800 relay with a time of 8:31.19.  In addition, the boys' 4 x 400 set the fastest time in the state winning the event.  That team consisted of Peter Wesen, Brian Bates, Finn Matheney, and Danny Yanick.

Junior Megan Palinski broke two school records.  She won the Shot Put with a throw of 35-2.75 and the Weight Throw (40-6) in record performances, her Weight Throw distance is Top 50 in the country currently.

The teams will be back on the track next Saturday at SPIRE and Oberlin College on Sunday.
