The NDCL Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed in the NCC Championships on Saturday, October 11th. NDCL hosted the NCC Cross Country Championships for the second straight year in 2025.
The girls team finished in fourth place of seven teams with 87 points. The boys team finished in sixth place of seven teams with 127 points.
Zoey Myers led the Lions Cross Country team with a second-place overall finish with an outstanding time of 19:53.78. Andrea Heredia followed in seventh place with a time of 20:59.23. Both Myers and Heredia earned first team all-conference for their impressive performances and set new season personal bests. Lucy Edger received honorable mention all-NCC for her 17th place finish and time of 22:11.71.
Kyle Nedved and Quinton Linnert were the top performers for the boys team, finishing in 11th (17:26.54) and 19th place (18:33.24). Nedved was named to second team all-conference and set a new season personal record. Linnert received honorable mention all-conference for his 19th place finish.
The NDCL Cross Country teams will be back in action this Saturday, October 18th at the OHSAA District Meet. The girls DII race begins at 12:30 PM with the boys DIII race to follow at Madison High School.
