Congratulations to Brendan Hernan from Varsity Football for being named News-Herald Player of the Week of the week of August 25th.  

Hernan led NDCL's defensive attack in the Lions' 38-12 dominant victory over West Geauga on August 29th. NDCL's defense held the Wolverines to a scoreless second half, as the Lions intercepted four passes, forced two fumbles, and recorded five sacks. Hernan tallied a team-high of five tackles for loss and three sacks to go along with 18 total tackles and a fumble recovery in the game.  

The Lions start the 2025 season 2-0 with the team's win at West Geauga in week two. NDCL Varsity Football travels to Kenston in their week three matchup on September 5th as the Lions look to win their third straight game.
