Sophomore Coco Cochran earned News-Herald Player of the Week honors for the week of January 12
th. Cochran's dominant play led the Lions to a perfect 3-0 week, with wins over West Geauga, Lake Catholic, and Beaumont.
Cochran was a force on both ends of the floor, averaging 14 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks per game across the three victories. Her standout performance came on the biggest stage at Rocket Arena, where she matched her career-high of 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in last Monday's win over West Geauga.
Through 16 games this season, Cochran's sophomore campaign has been nothing short of impressive, as she is currently averaging a team-high 14.4 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and two blocks per game, showcasing her commanding impact on both offense and defense.
Girls Varsity Basketball currently 3-5 in conference play and 9-8 overall. The Lions will be back in action on Saturday, January 24th for a home NCC matchup in McGarry Gym.
