The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Boys Golf team will conclude an outstanding postseason run at the 2026 OHSAA Division II State Golf Championship, held Sunday, October 11, and Monday, October 12, at Firestone Country Club in Akron.

The Lions enter the state tournament following a successful season that included a North Coast Conference Championship, a Sectional Championship, and a third-place finish at the District Tournament.

Road to State

NDCL captured the North Coast Conference Championship before continuing its success into postseason competition.

At the Sectional Tournament, the Lions shot a team score of 324 and defeated Perry in a playoff to claim their first Sectional Championship since 2020.

The Lions followed that performance with a third-place finish at the District Tournament at Windmill Lakes Golf Club, shooting a combined 321 to secure their place at State by a single stroke over Perry.

Lincoln Miller and Caige Cochran led NDCL at Districts, each carding a 75 to finish tied for fourth individually.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Edward Trebets, the Lions now turn their attention to the final tournament of the season, where they will compete against the top Division II teams in Ohio.

State Championship Information

The OHSAA Division II Boys State Championship will take place on Firestone Country Club's North Course. The championship features 36 holes of stroke play over two days.

Spectator Information

NDCL families, students, alumni, and supporters are encouraged to make the trip to Akron to cheer on the Lions.

Admission: $17 per day
Tickets: Available through the OHSAA

Parking: Spectator parking is available in the Yellow Lot off Harrington Road and is included with admission, subject to availability.
Concessions: Available near the North Course between holes 9 and 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Golf Carts: General spectator carts are not available. Spectators with a state-issued handicap placard may rent a cart for $50 per day.

Outside food, beverages, and coolers are not permitted on the golf course.
