Ryder Gorman, Junior – Boys Lacrosse: in NDCL's 15-2 win over Cleveland Heights on Monday, Gorman led the Lions with five goals, a new-career high for the junior.
Alex Mould, Senior – Softball: In NDCL's 9-1 victory over CVCA on Monday, Alex Mould eclipsed the 500-career strikeout milestone with a season-high of 16 strikeouts in the game. In NDCL's 6-5 win over CVCA again on Thursday, Mould went back-to-back games with an impressive 16 strikeouts. In total, she struck out a total of 32 batters on just five earned runs in two games.
Sienna Steinmetz, Sophomore – Softball: Steinmetz hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning versus CVCA to give the Lions the 6-5 win and a 2-0 season sweep. In two games this week, Steinmetz logged four hits, three runs, and one RBI.
Jack Montague, Senior – Baseball: In the Lion's 5-0 victory over University School, Montague got the win on the mound with a career-high of 10 strikeouts, no earned runs, and just four opponent hits. Offensively, he contributed one hit and one RBI in the game.
Keenan Ryans/Ben Novak, Senior Duo – Baseball: Ryans and Novak led the Lions with identical stat lines in the team's 10-0 shutout win over Cardinal. The duo hit 2-3 and contributed two RBI and one run each.
Macey Beers, Senior – Girls Lacrosse: Beers tied her career-high of six goals scored in NDCL's dominant 15-5 win over Orange at home. The senior led the team with a total of 12 goals scored in just three games this week.
Meredith Gerbitz, Sophomore – Girls Lacrosse: Gerbitz recorded back-to-back hat tricks this week, her season-high, in NDCL's wins over Orange (15-5) and Chagrin Falls (7-6).
NDCL Boys Volleyball team – The Lions snapped their six-match losing streak in a resilient five-set reverse sweep win at Berkshire 3-2. NDCL dropped the first two sets 25-27 and 20-25. The Lions stormed back to win the next three sets 25-21, 25-18, and 15-6. Congratulations to the Boys Volleyball team on a terrific team effort and victory!
Lucy Edger, Sophomore – Girls Track & Field: Edger posted the top individual finish for NDCL Girls Track & Field in the 22-team Miele Invitational. Edger took first in the 800M run with a time of 2:23.17.
Rob Bonchak, Senior – Boys Track & Field: Bonchak recorded the top finish for the NDCL Boys Track & Field team at the Miele Invitational. Bonchak finished first in the 200M dash with a time of 22.38. He also took a close second in the 400M dash with a finish of 49.87.
