Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin JV boys golf tested itself against varsity competition Monday, posting a 356 to finish 10th among 12 teams at the Lion Classic.

With the rest of the tournament field consisting of varsity teams, the event provided the JV Lions an opportunity to gain experience against higher-level competition while continuing their development early in the 2026 season.

Colin Urigel led NDCL with an 86, highlighted by an eagle chip-in and a 39 on the back nine.

Frankie Fleck followed with an 88, and Will Paskevich added an 89. Kevin carded a 93 to complete NDCL's four counting scores, while Alex Downing finished with a 100.

The Lions' 356 placed them 10th in the 12-team field, giving the JV lineup a tournament round against varsity competition to build upon as the season progresses.

"The Junior Varsity is improving each week," head coach Edward Trebets said.

NDCL returns to match competition Monday, Aug. 24, against Benedictine.
