Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin JV girls tennis adjusted to a modified match format Tuesday and came away with a 3-2 road victory over Kenston.

With Kenston down a player and a high heat index affecting the match, the teams shifted to an all-doubles format. NDCL adapted to the change and earned the points necessary to secure its second consecutive 3-2 victory.

Seniors Paige Bittner and Ela Grzywinski led the Lions on the court, earning a straight-set victory at No. 1 doubles.

The performance continued what has been a productive season for NDCL's doubles lineup. Through 11 matches, Lions doubles teams have combined for a 21-11 record.

Tuesday's victory came one day after NDCL defeated Beaumont by the same 3-2 score. Against Beaumont, the Lions completed a perfect 5-0 run through North Coast Conference play.

Less than 24 hours later, NDCL faced a different challenge against Kenston. The modified format required the Lions to adjust their lineup and approach while also managing the conditions.

The Lions responded with another close team victory and improved to 7-4 on the season.
