Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin girls soccer struck first Monday evening, but Chagrin Falls responded to hand the Lions an 8-1 road loss.

Junior Ella Ko provided NDCL with the early advantage, scoring her 11th goal of the season.

Chagrin Falls answered after the Lions' opening goal and took control of the match from there.

In goal, junior Sadie Wurm recorded seven saves for NDCL.

The Lions will have a quick opportunity to respond with another match Wednesday. NDCL returns home to host Western Reserve Academy on Sept. 30.
