GILMOUR MOVES TO 3-0 WITH WIN OVER HAWKEN
Gilmour has jumped out to a 3-0 record under the leadership of new head coach Tommy Zagorski. This past Friday they defeated rival Hawken, 41-34. Junior running back Andy Kavcic led the way rushing for 167 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Quarterback Jake Kavcic has thrown for 654 yards in three games. The Lancers find themselves as the 10th-ranked team in this week's News-Herald Top of the Crop.Â
NDCL DROPS ROAD MATCHUP AT KENSTON
Sophomore quarterback passed for 174 yards, mostly targeting senior wide receiver Brandon Smul, he finished the game with 128 yards on six receptions. Fellow senior Hayden Dixon finished with four receptions. Senior kicker Gianni Spetic had a 30-yard field goal, his first made attempt after two long misses in the first two weeks. Lipowski is nearing 500 yards for the season, he also had five touchdowns passing and two rushing on the season. Â
NEW DIGS

The Lions will welcome in Cincinnati Taft for a Homecoming showdown. The Senators are 2-1 on the season with the lone loss to state powerhouse Wyoming, in two wins they have outscored opponents, 73-0. They were 9-3 last season losing the Regional Semifinals to Versailles, the eventual state champion in Division IV. Sophomore DE Elias Rudolph is projected as one of the top players in the state of Ohio,
he has major offers from (Tennessee, Michigan State, Pitt, Boston College, Clemson, Ohio State). Fellow sophomore safety Quinton Price has multiple P5 offers as well. 6-4 Mysta Moore anchors both lines for the Senators.Â
