Congratulations to the doubles team of Elena Fleming/Ella Workinger and Lucy Paulin on qualifying for the District Girls Tennis Tournament! 

The team of Fleming/Workinger won the doubles sectional championship. This is Fleming's second straight sectional championship, last year in singles and this year in doubles. The Fleming/Workinger team ranked as the number one seed entering the sectional tournament. The duo lived up to their top ranking, going 5-0 in tournament play and did not drop a single point to their opponent in five matches. Fleming/Workinger will advance to districts as the number one seed in the doubles bracket. 

Lucy Paulin will also make her second straight district tournament appearance in singles. Paulin was seeded third in the singles bracket at sectionals, she went 4-1 in her tournament matches. The senior finished second overall at sectionals and will be the number two seed in the singles bracket heading into the district tournament. 

The District Girls Tennis Tournament will be played at Springside Athletic Club in Akron. Day one will begin at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9th and day two on Friday, October 11th at 8:30 AM.
