Zach Bores, Senior – Wrestling: Bores took first place in the 190-weight class at the Russ Ward Memorial at Cardinal High School on Saturday. Bores pinned all five of his opponents in a combined time of 6:05.
Allie Wiseman, Senior – Girls Bowling: Wiseman led the Lions with an 185 high game and 346 high series in Girls Bowling's near 700-pin victory over Shaker Heights.
Mitchell Wesen, Senior – Boys Bowling: Wesen was the high bowler for the Lions in their 550-pin win over Shaker Heights. He bowled a 212 high game and a high series of 418.
Brendan Hernan, Senior – Boys Basketball: In two games this week, Hernan averaged 18 points per game, a team-high. He led the team with 16 versus Kenston and 20 against Benedictine.
Brynn Munn, Senior – Girls Basketball: Munn led the Lions with a team-high 13 points in the team's 47-40 win over Beaumont. The senior also knocked down a career-high three three-pointers in the conference victory.
Ava Lewandowski, Senior – Girls Gymnastics: Lewandowski led the Lions with a seventh-place finish in the all-around and fourth place on vault in their first meet of the season at Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Her seventh and fourth place finishes propelled the Lions to a third-place finish of eight competing teams.
Casey McInnerney, Junior – Boys Indoor Track: McInnerney had two top 15 finishes in the SPIRE Holiday Classic, the Lions' first meet of the season. He took sixth in the 60-meter dash (7.18) and 11th in the 300-meter dash (37.08). McInnerney achieved the NHSTFXCCA Indoor Track All-American qualification standard in the 60-meter dash.
Emilee Gruss, Sophomore – Girls Indoor Track: Gruss led the team with the top individual finishes in the SPIRE Holiday Classic, both in the top 25. She took tenth in the 300-meter dash (43.31) and 23rd in the 60-meter dash (8.48). Her time of 43.31 in the 300-meter dash set a new school record in the event.
Nic Davis, Sophomore – Ice Hockey: Davis led the Lions offensively to two straight wins this weekend, 6-2 over Cleveland Heights and 6-4 against Nordonia. The sophomore recorded a team-high five goals and two assists in just two games.
Gabby White, Freshman – Girls Swimming: White earned two individual first place finishes in the 200 and 500 freestyles in the team's tri-meet win versus Wickliffe and Elyria Catholic.
Tommy Matthews, Senior – Boys Swimming: Matthews took first place in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke races in the team's tri-meet victories over Wickliffe and Elyria Catholic.
