NDCL Athletics Top Performers: Week of August 25th

Dario Musa, Sophomore – Boys Soccer: Musa scored his first goal of the season in NDCL's 7-2 loss to Mayfield on Monday. In Thursday's hard fought 3-2 loss to a talented Beachwood squad, Musa recorded one goal and one assist in the game. 

Frankie Brkic, Sophomore – Girls Volleyball: In two games this week, Brkic led the Lions with a total of
30 kills, 24 digs, and six aces as the team went 1-1.  

Hamilton Miller,
Freshman – Boys Golf: Miller recorded a team and season best score of 43 in the Lions' dual match with Twinsburg that ended in a tiebreaker.  

Dria
Duqum, Senior – Girls Soccer: Duqum scored the Lion goal in the team's 6-1 loss to Beaumont on the road. 

Alexis
Urigel, Junior – Girls Golf: Urigel led the Lions with a score of 88 in the Greyhawk Invitational on Friday. Urigel's 88 placed her in 24th place of 92 competing golfers in the tournament. 

Lea Nemer, Sophomore – Girls Tennis: Nemer
was a perfect 3-0 this week for the Lions in second singles. She defeated her opponents from Padua (6-4, 7-6), St. John (6-1, 6-3), and CVCA (6-4, 7-6). 

Quinn Linnert, Senior – Cross Country: Linnert
led the NDCL Cross Country team with a 15th place overall finish of 210 runners at the Mentor Cardinal Classic. The senior ran a season best time of 18:55.78. 

Dylan Hoenigman, Senior – Football: Hoenigman's stellar offensive performance helped lead the Lions to a 38-12 win over West Geauga in week two. T
he senior running back recorded a career-high four touchdowns on 16 carries for 132 yards.  

Braeden Ryan, Junior – Football: Ryan paced the NDCL defense in week two, tallying a career and team-high 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and fumble recovery.
 

Carmen Cirino, Junior - Football: Cirino recorded a team and career-high two interceptions in the Lions' 38-12 win over West Geauga. His highly productive defensive game was capped off by an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
