Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin boys golf earned its second victory of the season Thursday, defeating Kenston, 166-181, in a home match.
Caige Cochran led a balanced NDCL lineup with a team-best 37, punctuating his round with a chip-in birdie on the ninth hole.
Lincoln Miller followed Cochran with a 39 to give the Lions two rounds under 40. Paul Williams added a 44, completing NDCL's four counting scores alongside Danny Zaller III and Hamilton Miller, who each carded a 46. Colin Urigel finished with a 48.
The Lions' 166 was enough to secure a 15-stroke victory and their second match win of the young season.
"If we stay consistent, we will have an exciting season!" head coach Edward Trebets said.
The victory continues a promising opening stretch for NDCL, which has combined strong individual rounds with depth throughout its lineup during the early portion of the schedule.
The Lions return to tournament competition Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Reese Alexander Classic at Fowler's Mill Golf Course.
