HOWLAND STARTS THE SEASON 0-5 AGAINST TOUGH SCHEDULE
Howland has started the season 0-5 after finishing 2-8 last season. The Tigers have been outscored, 190-34, so far this season. They have encountered some stiff competition with the likes of West Branch (4-1), Niles McKinley (4-1) and Poland (5-0). Howland hired Brian Jones as the new head coach in December, he previously served as the offensive coordinator at Poland for two years and served as the head coach at Liberty in 2012.

NDCL FACES TOUGH ROAD AGAINST RANKED ST. VINCENT-ST. MARY
The Lion's stretch against a strong opponent saw them fall to 4-1 St. Vincent-St. Mary, 35-0, last Friday night at Lion Stadium. The Lions three losses this season have come against teams with a combined record of 13-2. The Lions will play four teams currently in the Cleveland.com Top 25, with SV-SM coming in at No. 23 this week. NDCL will Warren Howland (0-5) and John Hay (3-2) in the coming weeks before a Week 8 matchup against Walsh Jesuit and a Week 10 game against rival Lake Catholic.

HISTORICAL MATCHUP
This will be the first meeting between the Lions and Tigers. Last year, the Lions won a Week 6 game against East Liverpool, 46-0.

NEXT WEEK
The Lions will welcome the John Hay Hornets in for a Week 7 Homecoming battle. NDCL will also celebrate the tradition of Cathedral Latin. John Hay is currently 3-2 on the season with wins over Cleveland Central Catholic, John Adams, and John Marshall. The Hornets take on defending state champion, Glenville, this coming weekend.
