Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin girls tennis continued its strong start to the season with a 5-0 road sweep of Lake Catholic, earning a conference victory Tuesday at Lost Nation Sports Park.

The Lions controlled the match throughout the lineup, winning all three singles matches and both doubles contests in straight sets.

At No. 1 singles, junior co-captain Ella Workinger rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Sophomore Emma Wilcox matched that result at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

Junior Lea Nemer completed the singles sweep at No. 3, also winning 6-0, 6-0.

NDCL carried that success into doubles play.

At No. 1 doubles, the Lions earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory. The No. 2 doubles team followed with a 6-0, 6-0 win to complete the 5-0 team sweep.

The result marked NDCL's second consecutive victory after defeating St. Joseph Academy, 3-2, in its previous match. It also gave the Lions an important early-season conference win as they continue their first season under head coach David Cole.

With wins throughout the lineup, NDCL's performance against Lake Catholic showcased the depth of a team building momentum in the opening portion of its schedule.
