Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin girls tennis swept all three singles courts and added a comeback victory in doubles Monday to earn a 4-1 road win over Beaumont.

The Lions set the tone at the top of the singles lineup with commanding performances from Ella Workinger and Lea Nemer.

Workinger rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Nemer matched that result with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2.

Freshman Estee Luiz completed the singles sweep, but her path required a three-set battle. Luiz took the opening set 6-1 before Beaumont responded with a 6-2 victory in the second. Luiz regrouped in the deciding set and earned a 6-4 victory to secure another point for the Lions.

NDCL also showed resilience at No. 2 doubles. After dropping the opening set, the Lions battled back to win the second and third sets to secure the fourth team point.

Audrey Kilmer and Paige Bittner were among the Lions highlighted for their performances.

The No. 1 doubles match also went the distance, with NDCL pushing Beaumont to three sets before falling.

With straight-set wins at the top of the lineup, a three-set victory from Luiz and a comeback in doubles, the Lions secured a strong road result.

NDCL returns home Tuesday, Sept. 1, to face Kenston.
