Hall of Fame
2000-01 was quite a year or NDCL athletics. After capturing its first State Championship in the fall (golf) , the baseball team was crowned champs in June. The team topped Bishop Watterson (semi-final) and Tallmadge (final) in Columbus to win the championship. Brandon Finomore '01 tossed a shutout (6-0) to secure the trophy.
Hall of Fame Coach Jim Clark guided the Lions to a 23-6 overall record in 2001. The team did not elect a captain that year, instead relying on controbutions from everyone - starters, role players, and future Hall of Famers - to reach the ultimate goal.
