Hall of Fame
A gifted athlete in cross country, Christine Meeks qualified for the regional meet her freshman year and the state meet her junior season. She held the high jump record until recently, and her high jump relay record still stands. In addition, her talent, hard work and determination in track led her to a state cross country competition all four years at NDA and All-Ohio recognition. During her senior year, she set records for the 5K at 18:27, which still stands.
"My teammates and coaches were awesome. Coach Jerry Hippley trained me so I peaked in my senior year. You couldn't have asked for a better coach" she says.
Her outstanding record earned her a track and cross country scholarship to the University of North Carolina after high school.
