Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School

1996 graduate Andy Boomhower starred for the Lions on the basketball court and baseball field. Andy credits Hall of Fame Coach Jim Clark and teammate and classmate and Hall of Famer Tim Salcer as great inspirations to him on the field. Winning the conference in baseball as a senior was a high mark for the team and Boomhower and paved the way for the school’s first state championship in baseball just five years later.  

Andy was recognized as an All-News Herald, All North Coast League, and All-Geauga County all-star during his NDCL career. 

After graduation, Andy played baseball at the University of Akron. Today, Andy works as a machinist for Coastal Tool in Mentor, and lives in Geneva, OH. He’s the proud dad of Andrew Boomhower, who himself is a high school athlete.
