Hall of Fame
Arguably the finest athlete in his class, Pete earned varsity letters in basketball and football. Pete was the co-captain of the 1975-76 basketball team that won the first of four consecutive district championships that would start the Latin dynasty in basketball. This was the farthest a Latin basketball team advanced in the playoffs since the 1956-57 team.
Parker was named to the All-Crown Conference Basketball Team his junior and senior years. He was a leader of Latin's "run and stun" style of play that frustrated opponents and helped propel Latin to its string of district titles.
Pete was also a two-year starter in football and played both ways his junior and senior years. He is the first graduate from 1976 to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
