Tim started as both a junior and senior for NDCL's football team, as the Lions set school marks for wins in a season (6) and consecutive wins (9). He was the team MVP for the first NDCL team to defeat Lake Catholic, Padua, and VASJ. His play earned him first-team All-NCL, first team from the News-Herald, and first team All-Geauga County. He also set school records for most receptions in a game (9) and longest punt return for a TD (64 yards). His most memorable football moment was a 60-yard TD reception in NDCL's stunning 18-14 upset of Lake Catholic in 1994.

Tim also lettered twice in basketball. He received the Coaches Award and set the team record for steals in a game. In his last home game, he made a buzzer beating 3-pointer to win!

As a two-year starter as a center fielder and pitcher for the NDCL baseball team, Tim helped the Lions to an NCL co-championship and two district playoff appearances. His senior team set the school standard for most wins (20) and beat Lake Catholic in a district playoff game. He was also named to the All-NCL team, first team All-News Herald, and was the team's most improved player after batting .410.

Tim also served as an assistant coach at NDCL for 11 athletic seasons. He coached football, basketball, and baseball at NDCL from 1996-2000.
