Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School

Al Payne was the starting center as a sophomore, junior, and senior on Latin's basketball teams. As a 6'6 sophomore, he pulled down 33 percent of the teams rebounds and helped Latin win a District Championship. He led the Lions with over 20 points and 17 rebounds per game as a junior. As a co-captain during his senior year, Al led the team in scoring (23 points per game average) and rebounds. He was an All-Scholastic recipient as a junior and senior.
