Collin Irish was one of the most outstanding players in Latin's basketball history. He made the varsity as a freshman as the team went 16-7 and won sectional and district titles. As a sophomore, the team went 24-2, making this the most wins for a Latin team. They won the Crown Conference, sectional, district, and regional titles and then won the State "AA" title in Columbus. As co-captain of the junior team, the team went 21-4. They again qualified for the state finals and list in the championship game. He was Latin's all-time leading scorer and rebounder and was selected on the All-State team. He also played varsity baseball for two years and in his junior year helped the team win a sectional title.
