Hall of Fame
Karl Morris was a regular on the basketball team for three years, during which he helped Latin win 67 games while only losing ten, an era not to be forgotten. Latin won two Crown Conference championships, three district titles, and three regional titles, and one State Class AA Championship and two State Class AA Runner-up titles. Karl was a sophomore as the team won the state title going 24-2 for the season. It was the most wins for a Latin team. As a junior, the team was 21-4 as it lost the final game for the State AA title. Karl was selected on the All-Ohio team. In his senior year, the team went 22-4, including the final game for the State AA title. He was selected as the second team All-Ohio.Â
He attended Southern Illinois University where he played on the varsity for four years.
