Hall of Fame
Rick was an outstanding receiver and running back during his junior and senior years at Cathedral Latin. Both of those teams were co-champs of the East Senate. During his junior year, he led his team in rushing average and in his senior year he averaged 24 yards per pass reception. Rick was selected for the All-East Senate team. Rick was the primary receiver of quarterback Bob DeSapri's arial assaults that produced a highly productive scoring combination during the 1961 season. Rick joins fellow classmates Larry Kaminski and Bob DeSpar in the Hall of Fame.
After high school, Rick received a football scholarship to the University of Nebraska where he attended for two years. He finished his college education ay Hiram Scott College in Scotts Bluffs, Nebraska.
