While attending Cathedral Latin, Ted participated in both football and track. During his senior year in track, Ted had the honor of competing in the state finals in Columbus as a shot putter. Ted was a two-year starter on the varsity football team and achieved All-Crown Conference and All-Ohio honors. His prowess in football was such that he received a full scholarship to Notre Dame University. While attending Notre Dame, Ted became the starting offensive guard on the 1977 national championship team coached by Dan Devine. Ted joins his brother, Mark ’72, and classmate Chris Lynch as a member of the Cathedral Latin Hall of Fame.
