Toni was a basketball star for Notre Dame Academy for four years. She carried her 6'2" frame proudly with impressive posture and poise. Toni was a formidable force on the hardwood. She averaged over 31 points per game and 20 rebounds, a school record. She poured in 50 points, an NDA record, in a game versus Villa Angela Academy. 

During her senior year, she earned the MVP award for the GCCGAC and was awarded The Plain Dealer's First Team All-Scholastic. The Associated Press named Igrec Second Team All-Ohio. Also, she was MVP of the Wendy's-News Herald Girls Basketball East-West Classic. 

Toni was a four-year letter winner in volleyball at NDA. She was President of the Athletic Association at NDA. Toni earned a full scholarship to Syracuse University, where she led the basketball team to the NCAA Tournament.
