Hall of Fame
Norb is one of Latin's most outstanding track men. His career includes dozens of dual meet victories and meet and track records. In 1943, he won the 200 yard low hurdle at the State Championship. He established school records in the 45 and 50 yard indoor high hurdles and was District High and Low Hurdles Champion. He ran on the mile and half mile relay teams that consistently earned honors for Latin at the K of C Meet, Newark Relays, Canton McKinley Invitational and Mansfield Relays.
Norb attended Eastern Michigan University where he was Central Collegiate Conference Low Hurdle Champion and earned the Michigan State AAU high and low hurdle titles. After graduation, Norb became coach at Flint Northern High School in Michigan. His teams have won 42 conference and regional titles. He has been named Track Coach of the Year by the Michigan High School Coaches Association twice.
