Hall of Fame
Ed was an outstanding athlete throughout his sophomore and junior year in football and basketball. He was was a great basketball player as a sophomore; the team won 21, lost four and won the Crown Conference, District, and Regional titles and runner-up to the State "AA" Title. As a junior, the team won 22 and lost four, again won the District and Regional Titles, and for the second year in a row, were runner-up to the State "AA" Title. He was selected to the All-Scholastic Team. As a football player, Washington in his junior year was the leading pass receiver in Northeast Ohio with 38 receptions for 455 yards. As a sophomore, he played baseball on a team that won its sectional championship.
Ed went on to play football and basketball at Ohio University.
