With an overall wrestling record of 101-25, Joe Mohner had a stellar athletic career. His passion for wrestling and relentless spirit allowed him to place third in the Sectional meet, third in the District meet, and fourth at the State meet in the heavyweight division.
Joe was the second wrestler from NDCL to qualify for the State Championship and the first student to place. Awarded Athlete of the Year in 1997-98, Joe had 50-plus career pins and won five tournaments including the NCL and Catholic Invitational.Â
Joe credits his former coach Vince Giammarco for his wrestling finesse. Joe also played four years of football and two years of track & field at NDCL.
