Hall of Fame
Over the past 35 years, Maureen Wahl has served as a teacher, coach, and role model. She began her coaching career as an assistant basketball coach to Rhonda Rickleman for NDA in the late 70s. From 1984-2004, Maureen assisted Coach Jerry Hippley with the track and cross country teams. She was awarded the NCL Girls Track Coach of the Year in '91, '93-'97 for leading the girls team to victory each year in the NCL Track Meet.
Her most memorable moment was when the girls 4x800 relay team finished third in the State Track Meet in 1993. Maureen attributes her coaching success to Coach Hippley and the student athletes that she had the privilege working with over the years. She also taught Honors Biology, Forensics, and Anatomy at NDCL.
She retired in 2024.
