Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School

There are few people as excited for this honor as Ed Marko, NDCL Class of 1997.  A pitcher for the Lions, who also played some 3B, Marko and his teammates continued building the Lions budding baseball program that culminated in a state championship in a few years. He and fellow Hall of Famer Tom Martin led the Lions to the Regional Final in 1997, his senior year, a year that included NDCL’s first District Championship with a win against Lake Catholic. 

Ed had some impressive numbers, including 17 strikeouts in a game, nine wins in a season, and a season ERA of 1.08. He was All-Conference and All-Ohio. Ed pitched for University of Texas-Pan America and later in the Frontier League. 

Proudly, Ed is back at NDCL as Assistant Varsity Coach for the Lions, seeking to teach today’s Lions just enough to be their very best on and off the field.
