Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School

Coach Barren organized the entire first football program at NDCL for the 1988 season with 33 boys and helping it grow to 100 for the 1991 season. Mr. Barren joined NDCL in 1988 as a match teacher and coach, coaching both track and football. Dan's coaching career spanned over 25 years posting a varsity record of 129-89-7. 

He was a graduate of Gannon University and served three years as an army lieutenant in Korea. Dan served on staff of The Ohio State University's Quarterback-Receiver Camp and the St. Bonaventure's Big 30 Camp. He was also selected as the offensive line coach for the Greater Cleveland East All-Stars in 1988.

Dan passed away while still a coach in 1991.
