Hall of Fame
John was a key part of NDCL's inaugural football program under the direction of Dan and Mark Barren. In addition to team captain, John was team MVP twice and earned All-North Coast League honors as a senior. He received Honorable Mention All-Ohio that season.
John split time between running back, linebacker, and cornerback in his NDCL career. After battling injuries his sophomore season, John played more on defense as a junior and capped the season with a memorable seven tackle and key interception performance - in one quarter - to defeat Lorain Catholic. John also had 123 yards and two touchdowns that game as running back.
