When one reviews the manner in which the lions dominated Cleveland scholastic football in the fortis, the name of Joe Raggets stands out. He earned a varsity letter serving as the backup halfback on the 1946 championship team. In 1947, Joe led the Purple & Gold to another City title - this time as the starting halfback. In those years, he played the dominant role, as the Lions were known statewide for their ferocious ground attack.

Joe served our country and upon his return from the Army, he worked at General Motors for 36 years.
