Mark Horansky was a member of the football team for two years as an offensive tackle and also handled snaps for punts. As a junior, he received All-Crown Conference team as the Lions finished their season with a record of 5-4-1. Mark received two Gold Buckle Awards for being an outstanding lineman. In addition to football, Mark participated in track for three years as a shot putter. As a junior, he broke the school record several times. His best was 55'11" for first place in the district meet which qualified for the State Meet. As a senior, he continued to improve and set records. His best throw at 58' 1.75" which set a new school record and Crown Conference record. He placed sixth at the State Meet in Columbus and was named most valuable trackman for the second straight year.
